![]() John Lassiter (Carolina Legal Staffing and Head Honcho/Char-Meck School Board) delivered a hilarious Health & Happiness Report regarding "personnel definitions and their 'true' meaning." |
![]() Our typically impressive head table consisted in part of our speaker, John Allison (Chair & CEO of BB&T Bank), Martin Waters (Waters, Inc.), Harold Hoak (one of Charlotte's finest banking minds) and Curt Farmer (First Union). |
![]() And at the head table on the other end of the podium were financial gurus Rob Wright (First Union), Mary Mack (First Union) and Dr. Julian Aldridge (Myers Park United Methodist Church). Julian offered a most meaningful invocation including a moment of silence in honor of the late fellow Rotarian, Ed Montague. |
![]() Doug Booth introduced our visiting Rotarians and guests ... two of whom were visiting from Germany. Thanks to Ronnie Pruett, we have more than our share of very special international guests during the course of each Rotary year. |
![]() Glenn Clinefelter (Plagolf, Inc.) introduced our newest member - and wonderful friend to so many of us, already - Danny Fontana (IGL Wachovia). Things just got much more lively with the addition of Danny to our membership roster! |
![]() Gunther Bienert (Corporate Senior Vice President of BB&T's International Division) and Charlotte Rotary Immediate Past President Ronnie Pruett (Ronnie A. Pruett, Attorney At Law) were among the 200+ members of our club to hear BB&T CEO's economic forecast for Year 2000. |
![]() Mark Norman (Central YMCA) and Hal Bouton (WTVI) enjoy President Worth Williamson's teasing remarks aimed at one of our finest - Leland Park (Davidson College Library). ("Has anybody seen my car???") |
![]() Don Steger (Reeder Memorial Baptist Church and rising Charlotte Rotary Prez), Luther Fincher (City of Charlotte Fire Department) and Ray Killian, Sr. listen to the most interesting words of our speaker, B&T CEO John Allison. Another top-notch Charlotte Rotary program! |
![]() Jan Thompson (Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Department) gets caught by surprise by the click of our photographer Bert Voswinkel. This photo may be worth something ... Jan is never seen without a smile. |
![]() Sebastian Feldmann and his father, Jurgen, (of Peine, Germany) were in Charlotte on business. We were delighted that Ronnie Pruett brought them to our Rotary meeting. |
