Chris Teat, Executive Director of The Family Center, was our speaker for our April 25th meeting. She both charmed us and challenged us to step up to help abused children.

Brian Schick (Anchor Financial Group) trod bravely where no Charlotte Rotary member had ever before trod ... he sang a reworded version too "American Pie" which - by itself - could have - and SHOULD HAVE - brought NASDAQ to its knees. Just call Brian "Captain Courageous!"

Danny Fontana (IJL Wachovia) introduced visiting Rotarians and guests in his own, inimitable manner. He's a newly anointed Charlotte Rotary gem!

Our head table was impressive .... Chris Teat, Curt Farmer (First Union) who introduced our speaker, Joe Penner and Frank Martin (Landcraft Properties.) If there's a truly great cause to be helped, Frank Martin is front and center.

David Tate (Primary PhysicianCare) and our popular and witty Charlotte Rotary President Worth Williamson (Edmiston Investing Consulting Group) try to look nonchalant as Bert Voswinkel aims the old Kodak lens in their direction.

Andy Zoutewelle (A.G. Zoutewelle, P.A.) and Leigh Derby (St. Mark's Incorporated) maintain composure following the Chuck Lineberry-Howard Chadwick version of "April Showers" and the subsequent announcement that we're all encouraged to seek and wear the ugliest tie on earth to our May 1st meeting. Hence, the combination stunned-and-stoic facial expressions on two of our usually gregarious members.

Dr. Eugene Kozhevnikov (aka: Eugene "K") and Neal Wagman (guest of Dr. Eugene Kozhevnikov, Toronto, Canada) have their picture taken with our Immediate Past President Ronnie Pruett (Attorney-At-Law, President of the Charlotte Area Rotary Council, which includes the 12 Rotary Clubs in Mecklenburg County).
