Ronnie Bryant has been named an Honorary Life
Member of the International Economic Development Council
for his work to further the profession of economic
development; Tom Robertson was inducted into the Academy
of Engineering Excellence at Virginia Tech. Membership
in the 2007 Academy is reserved in general for
individuals holding an engineering degree from Virginia
Tech's College of Engineering who have made sustained
and meritorious engineering and/or leadership
contributions during their careers;
David Norman
discussed the value of obtaining the certified business
manager distinction in a recent article in the Triad
Business Journal; Charlotte Fire Chief,
Luther Fincher,
announced his plans to retire by year-end; Carolina
Legal Staffing (John Lassiter) was recently named to
Inc. magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest-growing
private companies in the country; Joan Zimmerman said
her biggest accomplishment in the last 18 months: having
President David running Southern Shows.

CPCC Theatre presents Forever Plaid: Plaid
Tidings on Oct 5, 6, & 7.
Tony Zeiss is the keynote
speaker at the October 31st Succession Management
Conference that will be held at the CPCC Harris Campus.
